WEB SERIAL · NO INSTALL · RUNS IN-BROWSER

Flash Aurigae in one click.

Plug your ESP32 "Cheap Yellow Display" into this computer over USB and write the latest Aurigae firmware straight from this page — no PlatformIO, no Arduino IDE, no drivers to configure by hand. Everything happens locally, over the Web Serial API; nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Step 1–3

Connect & flash

Click below, then pick your board's serial port when the browser asks. The tool erases the board, writes the firmware, and verifies it.

Unsupported browser

Flashing from the browser needs the Web Serial API, available in desktop Chrome, Edge, or other Chromium-based browsers. Firefox and Safari can't do this yet — open this page in Chrome or Edge instead.

Secure context required

This page needs to be served over HTTPS (or from localhost) before the browser will allow serial access.

Firmware is fetched from this site and written directly to the board over USB. Nothing is sent anywhere else.

1

Plug in the board

Use a USB data cable, not a charge-only one, into the CYD's USB port.

2

Click Connect & flash

Your browser will list nearby serial ports — choose the one that appeared when you plugged the board in.

3

Wait it out

Erasing, writing and verifying takes roughly 1–3 minutes. Keep the board connected and the tab open.

4

Join the setup Wi-Fi

On first boot, Aurigae opens a Wi-Fi access point via WiFiManager. Connect to it from your phone or laptop to hand it your network credentials and location.

Troubleshooting
  • Board doesn't show up as a port? Try a different USB cable — many are charge-only and carry no data lines.
  • On Windows, you may need the CP2102 USB-to-UART driver installed before the port appears.
  • Close PlatformIO, the Arduino IDE, or any serial monitor (screen, PuTTY, etc.) that might already be holding the port open.
  • If flashing fails immediately, hold the board's BOOT button while clicking Connect, and release once erasing starts.
